Unclaimed Tax Refunds Waiting To Be Claimed In West Virginia

More than three-and-a-half million dollars in unclaimed tax refunds are waiting to be claimed by West Virginia residents who didn't file a tax return in 2010.

The IRS has released information that shows millions of dollars of potential refunds weren't claimed that year because some people didn't file.  The IRS says 41-hundred West Virginians didn't file a 2010 return that was due a refund, which averages out to be 640-dollars per person.

Tax returns can still be filed for 2010, but the deadline is April 14th of this year.  There is no penalty for filing a late return that has a refund coming back.
